Entrepreneur Immigration is the business category of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP). Applicants first come on a work permit to start or buy a business in British Columbia and run it themselves; once they meet their performance targets they are nominated by the province and apply for Canadian permanent residence. There are two categories: Base and Regional.

Summary
The Base category requires a personal net worth of at least CAD 600,000 and an investment of at least CAD 200,000. The Regional category requires a net worth of CAD 300,000, an investment of CAD 100,000 and a referral from a participating community. You must run the business yourself for a period and submit a final report; once nominated, you apply for permanent residence.

How do I choose between Base and Regional?
The Regional category needs less capital, but you must open your business in a participating community and receive its referral; the Base category offers more flexibility on location but needs more capital.
Do I have to run the business myself?
Yes. You must take an active management role in the business and live in British Columbia.
Can my whole family move with me?
Yes. Your spouse and dependent children can be included, and your spouse can usually apply for a work permit during the process.
