Global Immigrate was founded in Hong Kong in 2018 and now has offices in Hong Kong, Taipei and Toronto, helping families from Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China plan their cross-border status. We began with Canada’s Start-up Visa, building innovative projects for clients with our own in-house developers, and have since expanded into investment, talent and business immigration in the US, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, as well as citizenship by investment. Our story

It began with a start-up visa

In 2018, Oscar and Fergus — both La Salle College alumni — founded Global Immigrate. Many Hong Kong families wanted to move to Canada at the time but were held back by their education, language or work experience. Our in-house developers built tailored start-up projects for them — business plans plus website or app prototypes — helping them secure incubator letters of support and gain permanent residence through the Start-up Visa. More than 100 families have done so to date.

We then brought the same approach — understand the family first, then design the plan — to US EB-5 and talent immigration, Hong Kong’s talent schemes, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, European golden visas, Australia, New Zealand and citizenship by investment. Today most of our clients come from Taiwan and Hong Kong, many of them doctors and professionals planning ahead for their children’s education.

We believe emigrating is not just a change of country but a major family decision. That is why we are honest about each programme’s chances of success, risks and costs, rather than selling a single option.

Handled by professionalsOur professional immigration team prepares and reviews your documents, and investment projects must pass our written review criteria.
Arrival and beyondOnce you have your new status, GI Group can also handle tax planning, asset management and wealth succession, your children’s education and overseas property.

Oscar Yip

Founder & Managing Director

A La Salle College alumnus, Oscar founded Global Immigrate with his partner in 2018 and leads the in-house development team that builds innovative projects for Canadian Start-up Visa clients, helping more than 100 families gain Canadian permanent residence. He has since expanded the business into the US, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, as well as GI Group’s tax, wealth and education services.

Fergus Wu

A La Salle College alumnus who co-founded Global Immigrate with Oscar. Fergus specialises in comparing options across countries based on each client’s background, funds and family needs, helping many families who were told they “didn’t qualify” find the right route.

With more than 30 years of experience in immigration consulting, Justin leads Global Immigrate’s Taipei office, advising Taiwanese clients and handling their applications. He knows Taiwanese families’ needs in financial planning, document preparation and their children’s education.

Full service-fee refund if refused

Guaranteed in your service agreement: if your application is refused, we refund the service fees you have paid in full — or you can switch to another suitable programme at no extra charge.

No extra charge for further documents or resubmission

If the authorities request further documents, or an application must be resubmitted, we handle it at no additional service fee.

Handled by professionals, fee fixed at signing

Every application is prepared and reviewed by our professional immigration team. Your service fee is fixed when you sign, with no additional charges afterwards.

Service fees exclude investment amounts, government fees and third-party costs. Refusals caused by false or incomplete information, or by the applicant not cooperating as required, are not eligible for a refund. Full terms are set out in the service agreement.
