There are no other conditions of stay during the first period.
Extension requirements
To extend, you generally need to show that you:
- Are employed in Hong Kong at a salary broadly at market level; or
- Have started and are running a business in Hong Kong
Preparation tips
- Secure a job or business soon after arriving.
- Keep employment contracts, payslips, company registration and operating records.
- Once extended, your years of continuous residence keep building towards permanent residence.
Dependants
Your spouse’s and unmarried children under 18’s stay generally follows yours.
