Short answer: Grenada citizenship by investment can proceed via a National Transformation Fund donation (public ranges for a family of four often from about USD 235,000—confirm the official schedule) or approved real estate. The passport is typically Schengen visa-free; UK travel follows ETA rules. Many applicants eye a US E-2 treaty-investor visa with a Grenada passport, but US rules for nationals who obtained citizenship by investment include substantive residence in that country for a defined period—do not assume “passport then immediate E-2.”

The E-2 constraint
The US lists Grenada as an E-2 treaty country. For citizenship obtained by investment, US practice has required a period of residence in that country (commonly discussed as three years) before using that nationality for E-2. Plans that skip residence and time cost often fail. E-2 is also not a green card; the US business and status must be maintained.
Versus St Kitts and Antigua
Donation floors, UK treatment and E-2 linkage differ. Grenada’s E-2 narrative is a differentiator and also one of the highest compliance costs. If the family does not need a US treaty-investor visa, compare Caribbean options on total cash and diligence speed alone.
Global Immigrate note
If E-2 is the core goal, obtain written US counsel on residence years and evidence before starting Grenada. If the goal is only a second passport and Schengen access, parallel-compare other Caribbean programmes on cash and processing.
If E-2 is not the goal
Families that only need a second passport and Schengen access need not absorb residence-year costs for a possible E-2. Compare Grenada with St Kitts, Antigua and Dominica on total cost and visa-free lists, and pick stable processing that matches diligence capacity.
