About the GI Passport Index
The GI Passport Index, compiled by Global Immigrate and updated monthly, ranks 199 passports from two angles: the GI Passport Investment Index (GIPI) asks whether a passport is worth investing to get, combining visa-free access, ease of acquisition, tax, stability and quality of life; the GI Passport Strength Index (GIPS) measures the passport itself: visa-free access, how stable that access is and quality of life. The method, weights and data sources are public.

Spokesperson quote
"Traditional passport rankings only count visa-free destinations. For an investor, a passport is also worth what it costs in time and money, the tax that comes with it, how stable its visa-free access is and the quality of life at home. The GI Passport Index puts numbers on all of these and publishes its method, so families can compare their options objectively."
