Short answer: St Lucia citizenship by investment includes a government bond option: invest, hold for five years, then recover the principal (plus an administration fee). From March 2026, St Lucian citizens need a visa for the UK; Schengen access remains visa-free.
Two main routes
| Route | Nature | Recovery |
|---|---|---|
| Donation | One-off payment | Not recoverable |
| Government bonds | Hold five years | Principal recoverable (plus admin fee) |

UK visa change in 2026
Since March 2026, St Lucia citizens need a UK visa. Antigua, Grenada and St Kitts remain visa-free (with ETA). If UK travel matters, compare those three as well.
Who it suits
Applicants who want a recoverable investment, can accept a five-year lock-up, and mainly need Schengen access. For a family of four the donation route can sometimes be more cost-effective per person — calculate for your numbers.
