When a programme reopens or a new one launches, early demand is usually high. Well-prepared applicants can apply faster and are better placed to meet any stricter requirements.
Five things you can start now
1. Business idea and plan

2. Language results
The SUV required IELTS 5. Results are usually valid for two years, so plan your test around your expected application date.
3. Proof of funds
The SUV required settlement funds based on family size — for example CAD 15,263 for a single applicant and CAD 28,362 for a family of four (subject to the latest official figures). Start organising your source-of-funds documents.
4. Identity and background documents
Passports, degrees, employment evidence and police certificates — keep an eye on each document’s validity.

Designated organisations valued viable businesses. Building a website or app prototype in advance, and settling your founding team and roles, will help you present your project later.
