TTPS lets high earners or graduates of top universities come to Hong Kong without a prior job offer, usually approved in about four weeks — the fastest Hong Kong talent route.
Who it suits
- People earning HKD 2.5 million or more a year (Category A)
- Eligible university graduates with 3+ years’ experience (Category B)
- Recent eligible university graduates (Category C)
- Anyone wanting to come quickly and then find work or start a business
Who it may not suit
- People whose university isn’t on the list and whose income is below Category A
- Anyone not planning to work or run a business in Hong Kong (this affects extensions)
Main requirements
- Category A: annual income of HKD 2.5 million or more in the year before applying
- Category B: a bachelor’s degree from an eligible university and at least three years of work experience in the past five years
- Category C: a bachelor’s degree from an eligible university awarded in the past five years, with less than three years of work experience (annual quota, first come first served; not open to non-local students who studied a full-time local undergraduate programme in Hong Kong)
- Eligible universities are those on the government’s published list of 200 universities
- No adverse immigration or criminal record
