FAQ

Can I use this route if I hold a foreign passport?

No. Holders of other foreign passports must apply as foreign nationals, with different requirements and procedures; we can assess this separately.

Can I recover the investment?

The investment funds the company’s operations. Once you hold a Taiwan ID and meet conditions such as three years of operation, you can recover it through a capital reduction or by dissolving the company, as the rules allow.

Do I have to give up my Hong Kong status?

No. You can keep your Hong Kong permanent resident status after settling in Taiwan.
